Worn Student House Gets Upgraded

We recently took a tired, run down student rental in the downtown area of Guelph and did a full cosmetic upgrade. After years of student groups going in and out, this home needed a serious face lift. Our client, a rental investor, wanted to get out of the student market and fix up his house into a family rental, while still commanding top rents. We renovated the house to fill this need and give it a more mature look.

We updated it with beautiful hardwood and ceramics. We gave it a new bathroom and fully painted the entire interior and exterior. The plumbing and electrical were also replaced.

The house was in rough shape when we started. The bathroom tiles and tub were worn and stained. We cleaned up the tiles, and installed a new tub and sink, giving the bathroom a much cleaner look. The wood floors of the house were worn from years of tenants, so we replaced the floor and repainted the house entirely.

This is what we started with:

before bath before dining room

And our finished product:

after bath after bed after dining room after house front  after kitchen2 after rear yard

This project was completed within a month, and the house is now rented to a small family.
